Dhammarat, [ðæmːæɾat], top. The name given to the seven petty kingdoms of Eleuthea's protohistory that were unified by king Phalladas I, leading to the creation of the Realm of Eleuthea.
etymology: It means "land of the indigo marat", a marat being a mammal reminiscent of a snoutless elephant or mammoth. From dham "indigo, bluish purple" + marat "oliffaunt" + –at (loc; "country, state"; from older –agt), from Oel Dhammaratagt.
