Şerau, n. Harbringer of despair and suffering in the Salanjan mythos. He is said to both cause and revel in plagues, wars, and murders (though curiously not those occurring spontaneously from betrayal), and is an outcast from the divine hierarchy. His favorite haunts are battlefields, particularly if the victors give no quarter to their foes. Salanja folklore heavily associates afflictions blamed on Şerau, as well as his imagery, with a painfully intense red color, with flecks of green darting about around.
