šalu, v. to save, redeem; punish harshly

usage: Šalu was the standard verb for 'save' in pre-expansionist Anaşali, but summarily lost that meaning following Meihou Janoutsé's delivery of the inflammatory Şerau Teršelainja and the unrest which followed. After that, it came to signify the dealing of overly-harsh punishment.
