In my experience, if someone says "I need to use the washroom" when they're at home it's an attempt to be polite. Washrooms seem like inherently more formal places than bathrooms.

I don't have any animosity toward Cev, which is why I'm going to respect his wishes by staying out, but I'd like to explain—I did what I did because I didn't think it was fair. Saturday had given several very genuine-looking pleas which were categorically ignored, and I didn't want to see him banned out of hand. I was hoping that Cev would reconsider or at least /ignore, and when he didn't I got annoyed and acted on the side of what I saw (and quite frankly, still see) as justice.

So let blood beget ever blood, or something equally melodramatic.

Seems like my connection shits itself whenever I log on to IRC recently. No idea why that could be, but I guess I might be off #isharia for a few days.

It's not the router having difficulties with the port, it seems, it's possibly more like the router losing connection to our ISP's DNS or something. EDIT: Which I hope I fixed now by provisionally putting Google's Public DNS for domain resolution in my network config.

Better than my IRC client, which decided it could no longer save settings on exit. It's hard to stay committed to IRC stoogery when that happens.

...That said, there are still a few people cheerfully updating dictionary entries (yourself included), so it's not like death has transfixed the land or anything.

We had a really good run back when it came up and then it suddenly died more completely than it ever had. Honestly not sure what to make of that.

Annie has essentially no userbase outside of the people on IRC, presumably also as a result of the fact that it was so unstable before. Conlanging has also strongly remained on the Zeeb because there are things going on there and unlike new posts on a PHPBB changes to Universes here are not broadcast to other users, which is p bad on a "sharing things" view.

I guess also that nobody advertises this site anywhere, probably for the above reasons.

I guess my new year's resolution is to a) fix metaverses for Matrix (sorry Matrix!) b) try and make a page showing recent edits to Universes, with an indicator like the main forums button c) badger... idk Yatalac maybe to link annie on her canlanging tumblr.

Such a page should be no more work than filtering out forum posts and user pages from here. I suspect something a bit more drastic would make more sense.
