Yeah, yeah, it's the soundtrack of a cheesy taiwanese highschool romance associated with the idea that "adolescence is like a heavy rain; it gave you a cold but you want to experience it again anyway" or something to that effect. It still tickles my tearducts.
Perhaps, in a way, learning a language puts you in something of a childlike headspace? Returns you to a place where you understood shit-all about shit-all, and thus makes you able to enjoy simple pleasures banned to your adult self who's more jaded and world-weary ?
