Done! Happy rambling! And/or defining.

I'd like access too, pls. I can write some stuff up for Old English and maybe Mandarin Chinese once I've got some free time.

Hey, why don't we have a section for world mythology stories?

Also, let's use all word categories in the base templates for words in dictionaries, there are more than five parts of speech. And let's give the tags a similar interface when editing an entry.

And since this is mainly for us, can we use names like Saxon for Low Saxon (name another Saxon) and Kusan (better spelling) for Coosan. Comforming to nomenclature errors is something we shouldn't do.

Upper Saxon

Anglo-Saxon

Old and Middle Saxon are phases. Anglo-Saxon is Old English. Upper Saxon is Anhaltish. The speakers aren't even Saxon descendants.

And the French aren't Frankish descendants. Or the Bulgarians Bulgar descendants.

No, "Anhaltish" is not a term that is even remotely commonly used. Oh and by the by? Upper Saxony was, in fact, settled by the Saxons. That's why the Duchy and later Kingdom of Saxony ended up there.

Touché. But the Bulgarians should be Maritsans and the French Jallians. But enough of that, what do you think about my other ideas?

zontas, stop trying to come up with your own nomenclature for everything as a substitute for understanding

Next thing you know, he'll really like Slavic and Greek, and try to rename PIE to Proto-Graeco-Slavic.

That would be a huge improvement, really. Last time he was of the opinion that the language should be, for succinctness (or possibly some even more deranged reason), called "Kurgan".

Zontas you are disqualified from naming anything.

Also I have been wanting to draw up a comparative chart of the Altaic sprachbund so if I get to that I'll put it in there somewhere.

Succintness. You were right the first time. Also, when it was called Kurgan those notes were for myself.

Reference, though, consists of notes for all of us anthologi.cans. Maybe you could consider creating your own website on Google Sites (like I did) and depositing your personal notes there.

Well that was before that was in reference. The language section in reference was repurposed from Zontas' private space (because namespace etc).

That's because reference came to be when Rhetorica caught me posting natlang notes in my private section, so she moved it. Being banned from editing, I wish I could keep notes. Google Sites are a bit wonky to use.

You had subcategories listed for nearly every single linguistic grouping/area on the planet. The vast majority of which were empty, in fact I don't think there was anything in more than one or two.
