Frankly, I'm annoyed that our school has decided to start blocking forums (which incidentally they did not do last year, although that could be just because they changed systems.) I don't really see why it's necessary.

Eight-page essay due in 16 hours, and I can't think of a thesis to get my writing going. FML.

You know, working for the US government (in various capacities and within various agencies) I have always been amazed at the arbitrary nature of blocked webpages. Keep in mind, some asshat that has absolutely no concept of what happens on the average forum is probably tasked with deciding what types of sites to block.

Advice: mentally reclassify all banned sites as "recreational."
