What's wrong with Janko?

He asks you for numbers indiscriminately of whether you're being serious or just joking. The slightest hint of maybe having the kernel of a conlang, and Janko will ask you for your numbers from 1 to 10.

Aka about as harmless as noncrazy street preachers.

Also, if you post a language called "North X", expect to be queried about "South X" as well.

As a victim of Jankoing, ban Janko plzkthxbai.

As someone who got PMs from Janko, there's absolutely zero need for any bans.

Just remind him that numbers were probably a post-Paleolithic invention and that not all language have numbers.

I've actually had plans for a Janko Page for a few months which would attempt to fish numerals out of the dictionaries for every language on the site and present them all together. BUT THEN THE IBERIAN PENINSULA GOT INVOLVED. ...so it'll probably require some extra tagging, at least to resolve ambiguity.

Thankfully I already gave him my numbers for my three main conlangs back on ZBB... I hope he doesn't press for undeveloped parent langs and others I haven't touched yet.

He probably will. It may be like seven months from now or something, but he will eventually notice, and he will eventually ask for your numbers.

I should note that I have not been contacted by Janko since that first time shortly after I arrived at the ZBB.

I wouldn't call it indiscriminate spamming…when he notices a language, he checks his database, if he doesn't have it, he asks. I haven't known him to repeatedly pester someone (unless you include messages months apart as pestering, which I don't).
