The vast majority of noble sylphs practice Ardensamei, a philosophy based on the holy books of Alveril and Naemel. The religion is unusual in that its twin holy books lay out a great deal of plain-language reasoning and justification. In addition, Alveril and Naemel’s works encourage mortal philosophers to expand on the traditional canon. Modern Ardensamei consists of an enormous body of interpretive and logical works maintained by the College of Philosophy. Ardenta (followers of Ardensamei) revere major philosophical Nordisoda much like the saints of the human Madrite faith.

Ardensamei focuses on balance, particularly between logic and intuition. Other natural opposites, such as contemplation and action or physical and mental ability, also figure largely. The most common symbols of Ardensamei are a tree of wood and steel and an S-shape around a pair of circles.
