Dear language enthusiasts

I’m writing my PhD thesis about constructed languages and their speech communities. I want to find out who the people behind the languages are. I have devised a questionnaire to gather basic information. This will be completed by a second questionnaire and in-depth interviews.

I’d really appreciate your help. So, if you have 5 to 15 minutes, please follow the link below and fill in the questionnaire.

Here is the link: https://conlangsstepone.limequery.com/493868?lang=en

If you have any questions or concerns, just comment below.

Thank you so much!

Best regards,

Lisa

ms tornow,

[i wrote the big long survey answer you got about there being no community]

i was surprised to discover you hadn't apparently posted anything on the zbb about this! i was vaguely aware that somebody had written a somewhat academic paper ABOUT the zbb but on closer inspection today I saw it was just this: http://www.verduria.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=206

not you, obviously — a rather brief effort written, problematically, from somebody deeply embedded in the ZBB 'community'. if i were to choose two words to describe the emic attitudes towards the history of the zbb's "community", especially as exemplified in this post, it would be SHAME and IGNORANCE. The means by which these attitudes are constructed,  are easily explorable.

basically every chapter and slide in the previous page can be productively problematised [especially 'abusive posting by veteran members' — hello!]
