Geography
Harue is not a continent proper; it consists of one large island (which is reasonably called Harue Island) and many small ones at the far east of the Great Land, as well as the coast, which isn't very far. To the west of Harue lies (probably) a steppe and then a desert, much like the United States if the East Coast were squatter and next to England.
Cultures and states
Harue Island is dominated by the Kett, recent arrivals from the mainland in the typical Anglo-Saxon manner. Also in said manner, they are gradually expanding at the expensive of the native Arve. Inland, there are the Kannow, who are probably steppe nomads and who are not terribly relevant to Harue Island yet.
Eventually, the Kannow conquer Harue Island and become the heirs to the Kett culture, and then expand outward to create the Shit Qin Dynasty.
Linguistic typology
Harue as a cultural area only recently became a Thing, so the languages don't have much in common.
