Qapi Mongkoush

Qapi Mongkoush is what, /qápi móŋkùɕ/. How did it form? /móŋkùɕ/ must be a junctural form, since u < u: < a:, so we have *kaash.

Originally it was from k!arkʘi ɓɔɔn lok feɲ > qapi monrukoush. Will probably need to change some things. lok is a passivizer so it can be unstressed - presumably final stress.

k!arkʘi is an article, so it undergoes click loss, giving kapi.
ɓɔɔn > moon
lok > dlok > glak
feɲ > feɲ

So this takes us to the Continental Hathic stage.

moon > mon (semi-close) > man
glak > raq (or... gak? maybe there's some interference ebtween the two)
feɲ > xeɲ > xaʑ

màn~gak~xáʑ > maŋ(gak)kaʑ > mɔaŋkkɔaʑ > maŋkkɔaʑ > mɔŋkuːɕ
Need either dissimilation or NP clusters not triggering voice.

kapi... OK, maybe /i/ doesn't lower word-finally, but /ka/ should > qa > qo. Maybe there's i-umlaut. I was thinking it should commonly reduce to qapmongkoush, so that'd make sense. qapi > qepi > qapi

Seven Kill Stele notes

Do we have a realis marker, like in Kangshi? There'd be one in Kangshi-influenced registers probably, maybe derived from 'do'.
