A superscript consonant indicates an initial that can appear on a following vowel- or glide-initial syllable.

The 1st-person subject prefix is reconstructed with both an initial k and without depending on branch.

Object prefixes additionally mark TAM, primarily realis/irrealis and aspect (perfective vs. imperfective). The irrealis additionally demands a postverbal particle naˀ, and the irrealis perfective takes the same prefixes as the realis imperfective.

REALIS IMPERFECTIVE/IRREALIS PERFECTIVE (class I)

Always low tone.

1    -ḫù-  -śèⁿ-
1+2  ——  -ʒḥè-
2    -mà-  -mḥèⁿ-
3.AN -gò-  -ḥòⁿ-
3.IN -à-   -àⁿ-
?    -ì-   —-

IRREALIS IMPERFECTIVE (class II)
Tone varies, but there is always a superscript ˀ. This manifests as devoicing of a following voiced obstruent or glottalization of an initial glide, but does *not* change a type A syllable to type B.

1    -ɯ̀ˀ-  -úˀ-
1+2  ——  -ʒóˀ-
2    -mɤ́ˀ- -mwáˀ-
3.AN -đèˀ- -gwɤ́ˀ-

?    -yɤ́ˀ- ——-

REALIS PERFECTIVE (class III)
Always low tone. There appears to have been a preposed particle *-t- added to the class I object prefixes, resulting in homophony of the inclusive and exclusive "we".
