Proto-Kangshuic had relatively complicated morphology, exhibiting polyexponential patterns of personal inflection and marking verbs synthetically for aspect and mood. As in all languages, much of this morphology interacted with syntactic constructions in order to express certain things that could not be indicated by synthetic processes alone.
