Ruhd'relian (2015-07-26 19:27:56) :
In Ruhdrelian, since they don't speak more than needed, sentences are generally composed of one word which conveys everything that they want to say. Sometimes this includes multiple meanings.

To say goodbye - they would mean "goodbye my good friend and may you have good fortune until we meet again". They would actually say "Torichbor'enuch" which translates to  "my heart goes with you." This is for someone who is familiar like a friend or family member. To say goodbye to someone th...

Granted, I should probably mention that the above information does not apply to Ruhdrelian:)

My favorite constellation name which came from a change of form in order to fit a category is Krózyfái. In this specific language family, o is generally pronounced ah and ai is pronounced eye. The a is generally followed by r, n, or i much like qu always goes together in English. The ar combination produces air and an produces in like captain, so without the accent there's no true a sound. A in this language family does not exist on its own.

I've finally found a character map which will make typing out my words way easier:)

I've spent the last week working on putting my countries into language families based on common spellings and sounds, then doing the same with my constellations. Using this method has  given me a few additional language models to work with. I've noticed that some of the characteristics were common to other families thus providing a way to incorporate borrowed words as well.

Many of the plac...

Just curious, but I started a lexicon for Ruhdrelian using a dictionary, is this something others do as well?

I wasn't using every word, only what seemed appropriate.

Well, in that case, how about using a computer, or a laptop? Like, seriously. It has way better capabilities regarding input than a phone, even though it's certainly astonishing how powerful phones have become over the last 5–10 years. But there's some things that computers are...
Might I suggest you adopt a keyboard layout that lets you type out diacritics, such as Alt-Latin (diagram)? :)
I don't have internet except by phone  and I am not sure how to change my keyboard. It's a windows phone. It would make it easier to add language marks:)

a little background :
The Ruhdreliax are a race of dragon people. They have a nesting island called Korto'drely'ch which is situated between  the Mythril Sea to the west and the Celendrial Sea to the east.

The closest continent is that of Lydissa. The southern most country of Lydissa is Centaurnia and is the closest country to the east. Northwest of Korto'drely'ch is the continent Lato'um with its southern most country Erotalus being the closest to the northwest. Directly north of Korto'drely'ch ar...

Ruhd'relian :
I am currently working on a conlang for a race called Ruhd'rel/Uhd'rel/Ruhd'reliax. These are the humanoid form, dragon/child form, and plural/culture form respectively.

Their language is my first attempt at conlanging and I have several more languages to create for my world. Tips, advice, and criticism is welcome :)

The language so far:

Kroluhd (accent over the o) -  Place of fire

Nrokdeuhd (accent over o and e) - take by fire

Nrok (accent over...
