As for freedom to set post backgrounds... everyone opposed signatures, so I really don't see bling of any sort gaining traction in the near future. That being said, you're welcome to obsessively copy and paste fancy box tags with every post, although it may make you look like a

Yes. Nothing has still been done about the Search page. If you wish, I can make a weekly post update so everyone knows that the search page still hasn't been fixed.

Ampersands are evil. Something double-parses them. I've changed the best-link logic to fall back to id numbers only if one is found.

Maybe that's because nobody normal uses ampersands in normal texts, so that's why it was chosen for entities &c.

I wish to harsh your buzz by deadpanning an explanation of how URL encoding works and why it works the way it does, but that would accomplish nothing, so I will simply nod my head slowly in agreement.

I really don't know. But! Ampersands appear in URLs. That is all I wanted to point out. If this is totally obvious, forget my post.

I meant meficat's, actually. But yes. That is part of why the ampersand causes problems.
