The reference wiki is located here. It's a resource at Anthologica targeted at helping people develop content—and get around the site. So far we have a few projects on the go; Nessari is working on cleaning up the Natlangs hierarchy, Nort (with help?) has been developing a vowel systems reference work from old Zeeb material, and I've put up a little bit of stuff on writing systems that I plan on extending further. It's also the place where the Anthologica Documentation can be found.

The reference wiki is open to everyone, though for neatness's sake you must request access to it first. Drop me a message if you want in. (Or just ask here!)

To start things off, I thought I'd ask what sort of documentation/tutorials people think the site needs. What's hard to do right now? I recently added a Footer Quotes page so you can see all of the various weird things that pop up on page refreshes without hammering the server O(n²) times, as well as a general Site Statistics page that lists overall counts.

Oh, the Footer Quotes section is a good reservoir of yet-to-translate-stuff!

I think some of them aren't. Like:
“Wow... 640K and MS–DOS.”

Why is it called the vowel triangle? It's more like the vowel trapezoid.

Just turn it into "Wow... six hundred and forty one-thousand-binary-digits and Small-Soft–Dirty-Operating-System"

Anguipes: Maybe we should have a conlanger/linguistic jargon resource
Anguipes: for teh n00bs
Moon: we should have a lot of resources for teh n00bs
Anguipes: like: IPA: not a beer

Anyone interested in tackling this? Alternatively: looking for suggestions/requests/complaints about what people found challenging when they started conlanging/conworlding.

Whereas we have the reverse situation, thinking people mean the alphabet. #conlangerproblems

I've never actually heard anyone talk about an I(ndian)P(ale)A(le). Then again it's not exactly common that I hear people speak.

Shouldn't Greco-Phrygian and Phrygian be merged?

Phrygian is an article in the Graeco-Phrygian subfamily. Nevermind, temporary blindness. The sole Phrygian shouldn't be there, I don't have permissions to delete it.

On the subject of language families, I've taken the liberty of chopping the n off North/South American (Geographic), and added a Mesoamerica (Geographic). Noting them for boundaries as well; for families which straddle (Uto-Aztecan, any others?), I'm putting redirects in. Caribbean I'm inclined to group with South America; opinions welcome on all of it.

It is gone. Bam.

Sorry about the permissions issue; when I fixed a slew of permissions issues about a week ago, I missed the case where language families received new wiki pages. From now on, new wiki pages will be fully at the mercy of all group members, and users will need to restrict them as desired rather than permit access, as is already the case with all other universe-related entries.

Are the language reference pages ever going to be made?

Yes, as people with the time/knowledge are able to. This is an ongoing project.

That's pretty dependent on the community's ability to motivate itself. Contributions are always welcome.

Can I join? Also, we should index the languages alphabetically, not by family, for easier discovery.

No, we don't need a huge long list. Highlights from each family can be noted (and hyperlinked) in the synopses.

As for you joining, I'm not necessarily opposed so long as you realize this is supposed to be useful to everyone, and we can't go running off with our pet theories (a good example being that I didn't put IE, Uralic, Dravidian, South Caucasian etc etc into a Nostratic superfamily).

Added. If something horrible happens, we can always go back to the previous day's backup.
