The weirdest part is how eerily normal most of Sub-Saharan Africa is compared to, say, the middle east or asian russia.

Well Swaziland seems to have conquered most of Lesotho.

*Kwazulu-Natal. And lost the majority of its own land in the process. Lesotho is the blip in the middle of SA that's still there (and near as I can tell without any border changes).
