So it turns out that Nae and Miekko are just as tightly allied as in the game a year ago, and that they have decided to get their revenge on me for events from that game. That's contrary to the spirit of the game and below the belt even by Diplo's low standards. But very well; consider your revenge gotten.
Time for mine: left without anything remaining in the game to do, and lacking any in-game means to react, I am forced to go below the belt as well and instead hereby present for public inspection the entire log, in chronological order, of all my Diplo conversations with all three stabbants.

If all of these moves succeed (including annihilation of the fleet presently in Trieste) and no non-Italian units remain in (or have entered) Piedmont or Tyrolia, then I will continue. If any order fails or any involved party refuses, then y'all can do your best to drag some dimwit into sending in repeated pointless orders for yet another broken Italy.

This is a new game and the rules are being followed, even if miekko and Nae were justifying a strategic collaboration on something personal or long since passed. You only have an argument if miekko and Nae are playing irrationally in order to bully you — harassing you at the cost of hurting their own game — but I see no such thing on either one's part.

I have had a chance to reflect further on the situation, and I've come to the conclusion that despite feeling otherwise most of the time, I may not currently be emotionally fit to cope with some of the realities of this game. I hope I can be forgiven for having signed up in the first place; it's not always obvious what one will and will not be able to deal with gracefully.

In particular, there is a version where Italy is not used, and its units sit on the board with under perma-orders to hold. Maybe that could be suitable here, perhaps leaving Italy's units where I've left them.
