I've never been able to focus on any particular field or career or subject of learning. Instead, I learn about and dabble in practically everything. I have better than average to way better than average laymen's knowledge on dozens and dozens of topics, and I'm an expert in none of them.

linguistics grad student at university of southern california. been conlanging for roughly half my life. done fieldwork in california and taiwan, plus crazy theoretical stuff on reduplication and aspect. look like bear. some random talents. that about it.

I conlang, study linguistics, write computer programs professionally and for fun, write stories, and dabble in mathematics and graphic art. Inspired in my childhood by the fantasy worldbuildling of Tolkien and Mark Rosenfelder, I've been (slowly, steadily) working on my own conworlding project of Arzhanø. Saimiar is the conlang of mine closest to my heart.
