Speak in Your Premodern Conlang Thread (2014-06-09 23:42:00) :
Sifa ifeztimis mí surví yepekhtíkha: sithikhete-lete il tshentaní ste-le raftekrím. Pene: "Ampbolinkgemo" lú-"alambeda-éríñko" sithis.
I want to start a new game: translate the sounds of the previous person. Example: "ampbolinkgemo" sounds like "waterfall garbage."
...Saptripséú, mí stife mí kelí tshítseneitikha ílis kai.
...Of course, a person needs a big dictionary.

Obviously, you are being twisted by the Goddess of Sadism. Satisfy her thirst with the murder of a somnologist.

Fiction recommendations (2014-06-09 17:58:31) :
Saturn's Children and the distant-future follow-up Neptune's Brood by Charles Stross. Science fiction. The first is about robots shortly after the end of humanity; the second is about interstellar economics without FTL.
That and, um, Asimov's good ol' Foundation are about the only books I'm [small][small]prepared to go on the record as[/small][/small] reading recently.

Israel is the tiny little green sliver in the sea of blue on the northwest coast of Asia Minor. (Although I think the upper tiny green bit might be of Lebanon?)
