Lol. Studies for decades and, while doing it, also conworlds.

And doing that discovers that many of her[note]Is my final answer. *wins*[/note] original teenager-era ideas are crap and the ones she discovers learning, based on actual facts, are much much better.
Accurate and in fact what I'm actually doing.

A Minimal Model for Human and Nature Interaction (2014-08-22 10:35:13) :
It is p much a certainly that conworlding is always being done wrong, mainly because our silly simulations generally cannot hope to capture the full complexity of whatever system we are making up. The fact that you cannot possibly know enough about ALL THE SCIENCES feeds this, of course
Challenge accepted.
my own posts always seem new to me

this is not a reflection on the freshness and style of my writing, nor on any putative lack of short-term memory on my part :P
rather, you know how the board highlights things in blue ? at least it does for me when they're new... it considers my own posts new until i've read them. is this a neat trick to entice people to see their posts again and realize what they're saying before anyone else does ?

sure the whole batch was probably good. still, there's something about drinking a liter of way-past-expiration fruit juice that made me kinda queasy. I wish i was as virile as manly pthug who consumes spoiled foodstuffs regularly cause expiration dates are too mainstream for him. perhaps this was the first step in a personal journey of homemade
fermentation?

Truth be told I couldn't think of anything relatable to the Sins for Debian. The worst thing is the astounding conservativeness, which while justifiable is annoying to more bleeding edge types (and we've got Sid anyways, so.)

Must be a hick thing then, because with people I know to be native Idahoans, it's always back, back, way in the back. Can't speak for Oregon or Washington though; I'd try to listen for it but that's kinda pointless in Seattle. I'm not even sure if anyone I regularly speak to is native (most I know with absolute certainty are not, in fact.)

…they must not have the California shifts then.

Really tho the PNW's dialect differences from everywhere else are damn subtle…I usually don't even notice them until we're discussing things and oddities emerge, and thankfully often enough Rad is able to confirm things so it's not just me being bizarre. They're also not usually pronunciation-based; so far as that goes the only difference from more eastern forms of GA is our /u:/ is only weakly centralized, if at all (mine certainly...
