Twabs' Grand Unified Database of Sound Changes (2016-07-22 15:11:36) :
This is very cool and I'd be happy if some nice day the whole Index Diachronica would be searchable this way. For API interoperability, you may want to make JSON output possible, I suppose. Python has Ways™ to read that.

I can't resist, sorry:

<Radius> suddenly, your door is battered down by six orcs
<Radius> they are carrying half a gallon of your favorite flavor of ice cream
<Radius> you have at hand a silver sword +2

Thanks to the power of twabsishness, a long-standing and irredeemably irrelevant Webkit bug has been solved. Anchor tags in forum threads were causing the tops of posts to get cut off for the dumbest conceivable reason. Yay.

I think I'll sidetrack a bit and tackle verbs. Normally, of course, the paradigm used would be the reflex of λύω- but in Catalonian Greek this verb has a front rounded vowel in the root, and that screws everything up because of vowel harmony; if the stress falls on a front rounded vowel (and these only ...

I need to look at Elmin again, because Elmin is pretty (!) and Celtic is also pretty (lol) and if I pulled a Celtic, then I would be happy. Regardless of whether anyone else is.

Elmin, originally the language of the ents of Agrómé Toléith, was adopted and drastically changed by the various other Woodland Creatures. But it also changed somewhat for the ents as well (slowly, but.) So here is a few sound changes between Old and Modern Elmin:

* Initial th, ph become /T f/ > /h/...
