Conlang recordings thread (2015-01-15 08:22:33) :
I sing wo dai hong mei means both "There was a day I saw a ship" and "The red ship sails down the river"? Interesting polysemy.
But it's a nice little song!

Anthologica Diplomacy -- Winter Edition (2015-01-14 07:35:16) :
I hear the ravens' call
I hear the sound of drums
tarantantan to all
tarantantan to all
the day and hour comes.
The choir of murder sings,
and heralds falling night
the iron music rings
the iron music rings
so loud and wroth and bright.
Farewell, farewell, farewell,
I hope you all can hear:
I'll see you all in Hell,
I'll see you all in Hell,
the end is here,
the end is here.

...Eh, yeah, that did not really happen. The story is that Annie went to a Magic Place and then came back to its original place. I'm pretty sure most of the failage can be put down to the OpenSuse Is A Steaming Pile Of Stool Hypothesis (OSIASPOSH) and will be moving it to Debian in the near future. If anyone would like to look up some street addresses to leave flaming stoop-and-scoop bags on the porches of for this, please send me a PM.

Addendum: Future Work :
I've also been thinking about building a UI - I realize I've said in the past that I didn't see a point. Certainly for the purposes of running rule files, a UI is useless at best, and a hindrance at worst.
However there is substantial value in building what is essentially an IDE. Even something as simple as editing a rules file with syntax highlighting[note]where the editor knows what symbols are defined as variables, for instance[/note], and executing the file would be a good us...
