I fucking beg to differ. And anyways blog entries aren't currently displayed anywhere outside of their actual location, so why would they be seen?

And that doesn't even begin to address the edit question.

Maybe not - but if the problem is the typing of edits as a general feature, surely it wouldn't be necessary? For example, there could just be two versions of the "submit" button, one which does that button already does, plus another (for major edits) which also does whate...

FIN-happen (sentence previous) (ACT.OF-harm-POSS REL-3 REL-1)

ceṣlaḷx̣ slarr s ṣoptah xlär fsåål ṣohlıs. ceċloṭ ṣıac̣ ḥlıaḥ cooxloåṛeet ṣoptah ṣohlıs

The tree (who is 3) burns because of speaker (who is 1). Previous sentence happens because of the possible act of harm by 3 to 1.

I agree that minor edits shouldn't be included under What's New, and that edits should be minor by default. Often when I post something I make a whole bunch of edits shortly thereafter, and I don't want to have all these edits show up under What's New.

Bugs, Requests, and Changes (2014-05-21 20:40:20) :
The issue with minor edits isn't just the question of having noise in the WHAT'S NEW signal, but also that I'd rather not have every last little action I take put front and center? I don't necessarily want rough drafts of things put in everyone's face before I'm ready to put them there myself - nor articles that I work on piecemeal over the course of months with hundreds of little edits (this being my most usual mode of work).

Not to mention if I fix an embarrassing freudian typo I'd m...

I wonder if it'd be better to have a major edit checkbox than a minor one, on that point. That said, them being difficult to implement, and the task of getting people to actually use a minor edit marking button for quick edits (it'd get rather tedious after a while, no?) lead me to think the last 5/10 updates on the front page in addition to a version of the current categorized-out New Stuff section would be quite enough (I'd suggest filtering dictionary entries from the overall la...

Bugs, Requests, and Changes (2014-05-21 12:10:49) :
For the record, [[Site History]] has been around forever, but has never been all that visible in the layout and is kinda spammy. (E.g. you can see when people last visited and that they received private messages, though not who sent them.) I'll work on tidying it up and making it more visible. I think if we have, say, 5 or 10 items on the front page then minor edits showing up will be acceptable. (They're a serious pain to implement, so I'm gonna be a bit evasive about it.) Will do this when I g...
