Concerning my own Universe I restored -and enlarged- the original stuff, so no need to restore the old text.

Sure; I'll only poke the ones that are now 0. Hopefully the backup's fresh enough... relatedly I'm definitely going to bump the backup + export + security work I've been meaning to do to the top of the priority queue.

I've restored the descriptions for languages and language families from June 6th. Any language or family that did not have a blank description was ignored (ids 153006, 153008, and 156146.) I apologise if any changes were made in the past week that were lost.

In light of this incident, I'll be working on backup, export, etc. (as mentioned above) intensively in the coming week. I've also set up a development copy of the site so I can mess things up without damaging the real deal.

Added Gravatar support for people who supply email addresses but haven't put up an avatar. Which is no one.

...the main effect of this is that users who fail to hit anything in the gravatar DB will get a JPEG version of the default avatar instead of the fancy new PNG version, which looks white even on the dark theme. (Alas.)

In other news, you can now change the e-mail address you provided during registration, which still isn't shown publicly.

Why does the page you go to after submitting an entry to a dictionary redirect you straight away? I don't have time to click the 'add another entry' button.
