Also. could we get actual timestamps on posts, instead of the somewhat misleading "one hour ago"?

Hover over the time string with your mouse.

There are one or two places where I forgot to do that, but the forums are pretty well-covered.

What if one's using a tablet or a phone?

Since I own neither a tablet nor an internet-capable touch phone,¹  I haven't thought of this possibility!

¹) Or well, in fact, I do, but my phone only supports EDGE/GPRS and my prepaid plan doesn't include browsing on the interwebs.

If you're on a mobile device then you don't—shouldn't—have the screen real estate or mental fortitude to parse a timestamp anyway. Preventing information overload is an important part of good interface design.

(And, seriously, at a certain point you should just blame your browser for not having any way to display the title attribute. It's been part of HTML since forever.)

Problem: Dictionary POS configuration uses tabs, which aren't really inputable in a browser.

Solution 1: enable Javascript, I added a hack for that ages ago, just like the importer.

Solution 2: stop using a mobile browser to do important things.

Solution 3: copy and paste the ones that are already there.

My order went Firefox tab-enabling addon, turn on javascript, copy-paste, then a much less nicely-said version of Solution 2 when he finally mentioned he was on a tablet, which got this as a reply
<obsequiousnewt> ^_^
<obsequiousnewt> I try not to do anything on a tablet, myself.
<obsequiousnewt> But we must have ALL THE COMPATIBILITY
<obsequiousnewt> SUPPORT ALL THE THINGS

By my count he posted right before I suggested copy-paste.

Oh, the new unread post marker looks great in the dark theme! I like it a lot.

I wasn't actually on a tablet, and I'm both willing and capable to copypasta tabs; it just seems to me like everyone would be happier with colons or somesuch as a delimiter.

Then still it would be good to keep tabs as a fallback delimiter — it works perfectly for copy-pasting from a spreadsheet.

It's really best...not everyone can read lines of text without gaps well, and entries, tags, and definitions all often have spaces. Maybe a second alternate delimiter is a possibility, I dunno, but it's really not necessary I don't think.

In the search results under a dictionary, the following shows up unparsed:

<h2>Headwords</h2>

I've made the parts-of-speech list accept (and display) colon-space as a separator, though it'll still parse tabs and uses them internally. If you want an alternative separator on the importer, it'll probably have to be a dollar sign or something crazy obscure like that.

There still are no newlines before or after the Headwords in the search results under a dictionary.

Edit: Okay, does the colon-D smiley look insane(ly) creepy to anyone else?

Could we have PMs to multiple users (also BCCs)?
