I'm also having trouble uploading files generally but not always with spaces or underscores in their names; I have notified Rhetorica of this. I will also note that I had to do so through deviantART, as attempting to PM her here failed.

She's the only person with the power to do anything about this, as I have no access to the cadre extensions. Or anything not editable from within cadre.

Weird and weird. The cause: I was trying to speed up the forums; it turns out we've been accumulating huge heaps of empty database entries whenever someone read a forum post. Ugh. So I changed it to a delete command, which apparently (for some terrible reason) had a permissions check in it, one that apparently doesn't work very well. Not a feature I'd actually used before.

I've removed that permissions check (as it was inconsistent with how other live data manipulation functions work), and probably fixed the typo that was causing it in the first place.

(My PM inbox does actually work here; I was just spectacularly busy before.)

Is there a way to move languages from a family to a subfamily?

There should be a move feature, yeah. I will see if I can do this in Octavia; it seems eminently possible.

That said, for the time being, it is possible to move pages already by using the page setup controls.

Okay, there is now a convenient move button for languages and families. Individual articles probably won't benefit too much from this because they can be child pages of, well, basically everything, so for the time being I haven't added this feature to those.

I also fixed the table mode rendering for Universe Lists, so if you have any of those, they should finally show up on your universe page. They're still interestingly broken in other ways, though.

Fixed an, uh, small issue where moving pages wouldn't change their group to their parent's group. Oops.

Something about avatars is still yborken:

IIRC Halian never gave his alt an avatar after I fixed the underlying problem. Those are just, ah, casualties. I'll edit their user entries so the site no longer mistakenly believes they uploaded avatars.

Followup: after looking at the data behind Halian's alt I'm more inclined to think those are Gravatar failures. Will look into it more when I can.
