The main branch of the Steppe subdivision of the ancient Shiffaractean clade, Drydo-Kerinidoi boasts the languages of the major states bordering the Raskal, as well as some of the nomads on the high plains themselves. It is divided into three groups, Common Drydo-Kerinidoi, the isolate Drîdic, and the Salor branch, which are distinguished by many sound changes, most noticibly by their reflexes of Proto-Steppe plosive consonants, particularly the prenasalized ones:
