Peculiarities and Special Cases

Y:

“Y” (Yáes) is used to emphasize the importance of certain words (see conventions). Its Nyíms are those of nobility, importance, proximity to divinity, enlightenment….etc

“Y” is always accompanied by an “I”, which is placed after it. Exceptions may be found in names or other special cases.

W:

“W” used to have the same sound of “V”, but now it has a similar sound to that of the vowel “U”. However, it is considered an Impulsive Vowel, for its speaking mechanics are different than that of “U”.

The CKQ Rule

These three consonants have the same sound. However, in writing, they are used under certain rules, as well as respecting certain Nyíms:

Words do NOT begin OR END with “c” in any case. Words may have “c”s in them, but they should always begin and end with a “q”.

If the word begins with “cc” (ch sound), the first “c” becomes “q”. If the word has a “cc” cluster in it but not at its beginning, it remains as such. If a word has a “cc” cluster at its end, the last “c” becomes a “q”.

“K” are used for names and other special situations, but are less used in general.
