Case
Gansang distinguishes several cases:
core, which is unmarked and marks the core arguments of a verb
oblique, marked by the suffix -ó, marking non-core arguments (but see below) and standalone nouns
+ various newer cases arising from oblique + grammaticalized postposition
State
Gansang nouns distinguish between two states - construct, in which a noun is modified by a classifier-less adjective, numeral, or other noun modifier, and absolute, which encompasses everything else. The construct state is marked by the suffix -á.
