/ɾ/ is pronounced [l] <l> before consonants. or when geminated. /χ/ is written <x> when derived from original /qʰ/, whether via direct attestation or grammatical alternation with /q/. /s/ when geminated or in word-final position is romanised <z>, reflecting Kossadian transcription.

Syllable structure is (C)V(C), but final consonants are restricted to /m n ʃ χ ɾ/ normally, and also /p t k q s/ word-finally or as part of a geminate.
