usage: to believe something (believe a fact; trust the accuracy of a document, statement, etc.) or someone (believe that someone is telling the truth), the thing/person believed is a simple direct object; to believe in something (believe that a principle is correct; believe in a given religion) or someone (to believe that someone is good or worth following), the thing/person believed in is in a prepositional phrase with "a": ya credo a te "I believe in you"
