usage: In the old Eleutean tradition, the baron (which was a feudal title and rank) was part of the aristocracy, but not counted among the nobles of the realm. With the evolution of Eleutean sociopolitics, baronies were governed by more and more civilians («honourable citizens») appointed by the monarch or a noble of upper rank, like a count, a duke or a prince.
