Your Worst Nooblang (2014-11-15 23:05:39) :
Needs an example sentence or two for maximum horror, I think.
I don't know if I ever had enough vocabulary for one, but I can kludge this together:
Žû aŋûl ô Kok'of, it gûf astîlongoše žak kalôt.
In the beginning of Qoqqoph, that first day was night.
i Tamachi est willkommen desu.
Your Worst Nooblang (2014-11-16 11:15:35) :
Qoqqkyuk seems downright usable for a first conlang, all things considered. Where’d that single geminate /k/ come from, though?
Probably because (a) kok'of[note]which is how that's supposed to be spelled in my last post... *grumbles*[/note] and (b) I had arbitrarily spelled /x/ as <k''> and I wanted an intermediate letter.

Your Worst Nooblang :
first conlang is worst conlang!

For those of us who have no shame, I invite you to post the worst nooblang you've made here. (It doesn't have to be your first, but I also am not looking for jokelangs... I'm looking for terrible conlangs you created because you didn't know any better.)

My first conlang was called Qoqqkyuk (pronounced roughly like /kɔxjʌk/), meant to be spoken by a people (the Qoqq) of Qoqqoph. This is odd because the letters <q y> were never written in the...

That moment when you realize exactly how to do what you had wanted to do with your conlang but had given up long ago. And now you've figured it out.

Legalize recreational social networking! Studies show that it's only 12%[sup][[/sup][note]this number was pulled out of a sock (I couldn't find my hat.)[/note][sup]][/sup] more addictive than alcohol!

Grrr Thread (2014-11-13 19:30:58) :
Frankly, I'm annoyed that our school has decided to start blocking forums (which incidentally they did not do last year, although that could be just because they changed systems.) I don't really see why it's necessary.

Dakota resources (2014-11-13 19:29:02) :
Er, Santee. I don't really care how antiquated the materials are, I just need a reference grammar and preferably a dictionary. And whatever I can find on their culture, but I can look elsewhere for that.

Also, I don't have access to the pile.

Irony: when my school allows Anthologica, but blocks celestialmechanics.net as forums.

What are you listening to? (2014-11-12 22:28:30) :

<vlad> in conclusion, stop objecting and let me say whatever I want without regard to reality

<Rhetorica> out of context, that is the greatest vlad quote of all time

Bugs, Requests, and Changes (2014-11-11 17:38:05) :
Okay, I can confirm—the inline notes show up on the lower left corner on my desktop, and they don't show up at all on a chromebook.

Bugs, Requests, and Changes (2014-11-11 15:47:00) :
Yeah, it works. Have you fiddled around with the inline notes yet? (I ask because they don't work at all, but this is on the chromebook which I hadn't thought to test before.)

Well, then, your "new post" indicator background seems a bit off-- the blue line is cut off along the top.

I... may have stolen some names. (Including also Túna.) Although I don't remember namó being on that list... what is that in ME?
