I have a few hours to come up with a few potentially good works of fiction to read while I travel.

Saturn's Children and the distant-future follow-up Neptune's Brood by Charles Stross. Science fiction. The first is about robots shortly after the end of humanity; the second is about interstellar economics without FTL.

That and, um, Asimov's good ol' Foundation are about the only books I'm prepared to go on the record as reading recently.

The Dresden Files is a good series about a detective wizard in Chicago, but it's pretty long at this point with like 15 books. If you're looking for something more like a single book, Bridge of Birds is a good book, set in fantasy China.

I downloaded the first two books of the Dresden Files and Les Miserables! Still looking in case these don't work out, but probably will not be back to the forum.
Thanks, guys.
