Dawwwwwwww

I'm melancholic and kind of lonely and at work even though work is technically closed. But I have some donut holes and coffee and some interesting work, so I can't complain too hard.
* H13 gets ridiculous with laryngeals
<ObsequiousNewt> All along we thought you were H13, but you are really *h₁₃
That explains everything. Or nothing.

Oh man, I forgot about Wilbur. But also, I probably did the rivers back in 2009, tbh.

I like these maps; one complaint about Potena Ğazta is that the elevation seems to increase too linearly; you'd probably benefit from flattening out the lowlands with a quicker progression up to the mountains.

But then I have really no idea what the tectonics situation is.

The Map Thread (2014-11-16 13:08:31) :
Well, the terrain is SRTM30 data, but I had to do come up with an elevation gradient. Also, the rivers were drawn by hand ;_;
The River-Plains Nation consists of a collection of chiefdoms occupying much of the territory between the major rivers in the north, and the mountains in the south. They have uneasy relations with the Malkh kingdoms (and Tuaxi, to a lesser extent), whom they have partly displaced over several centuries.

The Aspawatam are semi-nomadic horsemen, famed as charioteers. Their in...

Afrikaans sounds like Dutch as spoken by New Zealanders; or Queenslanders maybe.

New, this outfit would probably be over $300 probably.  Shoes were $10, blazer, skirt, and blouse were $10-$15 total (eff yeah thrifting).

Blazer from The Limited; blouse from J Crew (100% silk!); skirt from Banana Republic. Earrings and belt are from target ;p

The most expensive things (in terms of me actually paying) are my glasses, and cincher.

I was a little disappointed, though not really surprised, to see that my old Kuma-Koban thread was no longer on the zeeb. Not sure if I have some of the raw posts lying around.

Well, I love this illustration.

[strike]Kuma-Koban[/strike] is kind of a pain, because I haven't specifically worked on color terms. Here are some color terms, which are really kind of vague.

Thanks. I decided to entirely rewrite that clause, "pernicious" was really not great word-choice.
