Grrr Thread (2014-10-16 12:40:38) :
Sounds a bit like a friend, I think he had red/green, but it was atypical in some way. Pesky Y-linked traits.

I was kind of imagining that. Kind of like my friend who used to have (until they died) what she called East-German hooker boots. Probably a great combo.
Speaking of dressing, today I bought a whore jacket. It fits.
I... what? Whore jacket? Maybe I should get one of those.

bloodbath: congratulations on the grant progress; grands are one of several reasons I'm afraid to go back to academia, I'm not sure my fragile little heart could take rejection. That's why I act tough

Jipí: skinny jeans, yo.

Nessari: that all kind of sucks, definitely makes clothes acquisition difficult. Are you colourblind?

masako: I'm still tired and think I will have a second cup, even though that is twice as much as I normally permit myself to have.

Also, I've been thinking about starting a fashion blog, if only to feed my newfound vanity, but I'd like to get more lighting gear first.

:3 Thanks. Never really expected to be wearing yellow. I got the skirt and cardigan last weekend; the shirt probably cost me something like $40 because sometime I have to go to LOFT and I can't resist.

I've never dyed my hair, but I've though occasionally about making it a little darker. I need to get my eyebrows cleaned up some time too. Trying to get clothes is, frankly, agonizing, mostly because I probably have very expensive tastes. I like fairly minimalistic things, and those you s...

I think you did already, I haven't been in there in while, so busy. I need to start developing an ontology to handle this stuff anyway, but that's gonna be a lot of work.

Well, databases are also a bit crap. If spreadsheets (and the contents of their cells, more importantly) are formatted in a consistent way, we can transform them to RDF and have a nice queryable data structure. Not that this part is easy, but it's doable and (I'd argue) doesn't need to be as rigorous as database design is.

Cool; no idea what is the appropriate thing to do in that case; just go with the first element? That seems to be insufficiently a principled decision.

It took the judge 3 business days, when they said 4-6 weeks. So hopefully, like 5 days?

I'll try to take pictures when I get home; despite being nominally a tech person, I have a T9 flip-phone.

I gave the order to HR. Also, I just got an email that my network account is getting changed over tonight, so I guess that means I'll be wearing a cardigan and cute boots tomorrow instead of a gross hoodie and knockoff chucks. yassss

My name change is final and official. Already stopped by Social Security Administration to get an updated card, and gave a copy of my order to my security officer, but I still need to talk to HR.

So far, it looks like file handles for lexicons and importing or executing other rule scripts is gonna be pretty easy.

I'd made allowances in the code (when you currently load a lexicon, it's bound to a [tt]DEFAULT[/tt] handle) to make this easy, and so far it's paying off. The [tt]IMPORT[/tt] and [tt]EXECUTE[/tt] commands are implemented but not tested, and I should be able to get the [tt]OPEN[/tt] and [tt]CLOSE[/tt] commands working tonight.

That's fair, I just don't do GUIs; beyond syntax highlighting, I don't really see much of a point for this tool, at least as a stand-alone application.
