I think perhaps it includes the territories of Spain and Britain at some point in the 17th or 18th century. Less of a Roman Empire, more of a Roman-Empire-and-its-successors—though you'd think more of Russia would be covered.

Yes, sorry. It came from [http://memory.rhetori.ca/?id=305#Determiner%20Usage|an example in the Archaic grammar], before I really understood partitives.

Some, most, and all of the partitives :
This started out as a yes-I-must-talk-about-this-now thread, but it occurs to me I have no idea what I'm doing, so instead of just soliciting feedback I'd like to invite others to share their partitive systems also.
Partitives in Lilitika
There are three categories of partitives in Lilitika:

(a) constructions where a set, general term exists; these are usually vague cases such as "some of the people" or "half of the night"
(b) constructions where a reference mu...

Interesting features thread (2014-11-25 14:38:39) :
The default meaning of using a dimension word (e.g. width, height, size, weight) as an adjective in Lilitika results in a minimal form, e.g. evegzí (small) from evegze (size). To create a "large" word, the generic prefix kel- ("great") must be added on (i.e. kelevegzí), and for "medium," a negation is performed with al(e|é|ez)-, (i.e. alvegzí). This originates in a cultural background that encouraged and normalized modesty....

What to do with this morpheme (2014-11-25 14:03:31) :
How about... a normalizer? Like an intensifier, but underscoring the idea of average, normal, or typicalness, whereas an unqualified noun would encompass a broader range of possibilities.

Sorry about this one: you have to create tags as separate index pages before they'll show up there. (Which means you need to know what they already are...) I'll try to get an auto-detection-and-translation feature going soon.

Frickin' dang it to heck! (2014-11-17 13:10:07) :
Three topics were the primary focus of Ksreskézaian insults: intelligence, sexual prowess, and the ability to wage war effectively. As the mainstream Lilitai are largely pacifists, the mere mention of war is often disquieting. Similarly, sexuality-related insults tend to be relegated to slut-shaming, as a volatile love life is regarded as a threat to their (sometimes shaky) social stability.

(Note that -u is merely lexical in Lilitika and should be replaced with -a, -e or -o when formin...

Your Worst Nooblang (2014-11-15 21:11:33) :
Needs an example sentence or two for maximum horror, I think.

I posted previously about my ultimate nooblang, K'radénalla, which was mostly an experiment in regrettable grammar and unforgivable vocabulary. (Supposedly it was a language for dryads, but all of the vocabulary and examples were everyday modern stuff.) It can be summed up in one single, alarming, eye-damaging example sentence:

Janusi-chan sekurathé est haer Nihon-jiin tamachi deswa eke Amerika ka.
Did Ms....
